Elisabeth Lictevout
International Center for Groundwater Resources Assessment
Since January 2022, Dr. Elisabeth Lictevout was appointed as new Director of IGRAC. She is a Hydrogeologist with a PhD in Water Sciences, an MSc in Sustainable Management and Protection of Water Resources. She has over 26 years of worldwide experience in different contexts (Latin America, Middle East, South-East Asia) in the fields of research and international cooperation at local, national, and international levels. Her fields of expertise include groundwater in arid and semiarid environments, groundwater-dependent ecosystems, groundwater management and heritage and local and ancestral knowledge. Regarding the latter, Dr. Elisabeth Lictevout has worked during 8 years on local and ancestral knowledge and hydrotechnologies in the North of Chile with local communities.
