"The first settlers", is the central issue on the History of Senú annual conference, that will be held on September 11, 2018, in the city of Montería, Colombia, organized by the Bank of the Republic with the support of the UNESCO Chair on Sustainability, the Master of Social Sciences at the University of Córdoba and Caribe Vivo foundation.
The event is aimed at visualizing and discussing the historical construction process of the Department of Córdoba and the municipality of Montería from the first settlers. They will refer to the Zenu society, people that 200 bC settled in swampy areas and developed an hydraulic system that for 1,300 years allowed them to take advantage from the flood waters.
The seminar will feature guest professors Luis Carlos Choperena Tous, Antonio María Cardona Oviedo y Sneider Rojas Mor.
