Talks Recycling City, annual cycle for the exchange and dissemination of ideas and experiences of transformation in the different areas of daily life in cities.
The UNESCO Chair on Sustainability created the Talks Recycle City, in 2011, with the support of different entities, and especially the National Museum of Science and Technology of Catalonia (mNACTEC). The main objective of the Reciclar Ciudad talks is the dissemination of good sustainable practices and experiences gained internationally in relation to the transformation of cities.
Through the activities carried out within the framework of the Recycle City Project, we intend to set up a cycle of exchange and dissemination of ideas and experiences of transformation in the different areas of daily life. The aim is to publicize and discuss how to create more sustainable operating cycles in cities together with local society. Among the objectives of the talk program, it is intended:
Disseminate and contribute to the transfer of good practices and sustainable experiences.
Disseminate experiences of socio-environmental transformation among the local population.
Encouraging citizen participation in the themes related to sustainability in cities.
Influencing people positively, promoting their inclusion in tasks for the transformation of cities, towards more sustainable processes.
The cycle is aimed at citizens in general, academic specialists, professors, journalists, politicians and technicians, but also children, students and the elderly.
