The members of the Board of Directors bring experience in sectors including environmental policy, water resources, renewable energy, circular economy, climate change, sustainable agriculture, biodiversity and socioecological systems and social impact.
The board of directors is responsible for reviewing the mission statement regularly in order to assess whether any revisions are necessary, looking at the programs and activities to make sure the organisation has not drifted from its purpose.
Their collective expertise will drive the organization’s strategic vision and enhance its capacity to address pressing global sustainability challenges. With a strong commitment to innovation and leadership, the new board is well-positioned to guide the organization in promoting sustainable development, fostering resilient ecosystems, and advancing climate action initiatives.
As a member of the board of directors (BoD), main collective responsibilities are:
Counselling (when necessary) and supporting the executive team (Director, Chief Financial Officer and Technical Secretary).
Consulting the director and keeping him/her updated on your tasks and activities
Working collectively with the board to appropriately evaluate the work of the executive team
Advising the executive team about the advantages of partnerships if you are knowledgeable about and/or part of another organisation
