Presentation of the COTEC 2019 Circular Economy Report

On October 7, 2019, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m, the 2019 COTEC Report "Situation of the Circular Economy in Spain" is presented at the CaixaForum in Barcelona.

The Circular Economy is one of the three major transitions in which we are immersed and in which the COTEC Foundation is focusing its efforts. The task of the COTEC Foundation in the redesign of the linear production model, which should progressively lead to a Circular Economy, has been a pioneer in Spain and in the countries of our geographical and cultural environment, both in terms of policy design and in related to communication.

In 2017, COTEC published the first report on the Situation of the Circular Economy in Spain, coordinated by the UNESCO Chair on Sustainability of the UPC and with the participation of the RECNET network and ASYPS, which was presented at the 'XI Summit of COTEC Europe". That same year a dissemination video on the Circular Economy that has reached about 14 million views from different social networks and generated more than three million interactions among users was launched.

With this second report, made by the same authors and coordinated by the UNESCO Chair on Sustainability at the UPC, COTEC wants to keep its contribution to the analysis of the situation of the Circular Economy in Spain, proposing a roadmap in which all necessary and strategic priorities for the transition from linear to circular are collected.
